Beat Keeper – Highland Sporting Estate, Tomintoul

A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Beat Keeper on a mixed sporting estate in Tomintoul.

The successful applicant will be part of a team of six, responsible for managing a grouse moor with a focus on shooting grouse.  In addition, the job involves accompanying estate guests red deer stalking so a good knowledge of stalking will be advantageous.

A small number of pheasants and ducks are released to facilitate a winter shooting programme therefor the successful applicant will require experience of training and handling gundogs to an acceptable to standard.

The successful applicant will have a personable manner and the willingness to learn new skills under the direction of the Head Keeper whilst also being able to work alone is essential.

A cottage and kennels are provided, plus the use of a 4wd for work.  Salary is commensurate with experience.

A driving licence and both shotgun and firearms certificates are essential to this role.
