Today (March 31st), the RAINE Committee has opened a call for views on the new Wildlife Management and Muirburn Bill which has been introduced to the Scottish Parliament.

The SGA encourages all members, supporters and families to respond to the call for views which contains specific questions around

  • how people can capture and kill certain wild birds and wild animals
  • rules around the making of muirburn (the controlled burning of heather and other plants for land management purposes)

Following the Call for Views, the Committee plans to take evidence from key stakeholders and organisations.

The Call for Views is open until Friday 5 May 2023 so don't delay.
