 An experienced, enthusiastic deer stalker is required for immediate start. The successful applicant will be part of a committed team managing deer across 60,000 acres of open, challenging hill and forest country. Corrour is a progressive estate, and the team are resourced to the highest of standards.

 Essentials

  • Full valid UK driving license
  • DSC Level One
  • FAC/SGC

 Desirables

  • DSC Level Two
  • Sit in Skid Steer ATV certificate
  • Sit astride ATV certificate
  • Trailer towing license

SHEPHERD/GROUSE KEEPER REQUIRED for Glenavon Estate

Prestigious, multi-disciplined 40,000 acre estate seeks person to assist with moorland management as a shepherd/grouse keeper.

The successful applicant will ensure the sheep flock grazes across the whole of the beat, and will also undertake traditional grouse management work, along with deer stalking and general estate duties. They will join an experienced team on one of Scotland’s top grouse moors. Applicants must be able to demonstrate relevant experience and appropriate qualifications.

Cabrach & Glenfiddich Estates - HEAD KEEPER REQUIRED

Enthusiastic and experienced Head Keeper sought to lead a team of seven beat keepers on mixed upland unit extending to 40,000 acres. Applicants must have proven experience of running a mixed shoot and of stalking, with an emphasis on moorland management. Knowledge of environmental schemes and habitat management would be of great benefit.

Applicants must display a modern professional approach, strong self-motivation and a proven ability to lead and motivate a team. A working knowledge of current wildlife and firearms legislation and health and safety legislation is of paramount importance and must be demonstrated.

Recently graduated Elmwood College Gamekeeping Student - Position Wanted

Recently graduated Elmwood College student where he was studying gamekeeping

From college he gained qualifications and valuable experience in the gamekeeping industry. He gained his Safe Shot qualification, Deer Biology and Quarry Species. He also gained experience in Deer Stalking, caring for and feeding pheasants and also running our own shoot on our estate. Also through this he has gained good communication skills and confidence.

SEASONAL STALKING GHILLIE Position Wanted

I am looking for a position as a stalking ghillie for the forthcoming stag or hind seasons.

I am physically fit and hold a clean full UK driving licence, current Firearm and Shotgun certificates, current NPTC certificates for Argo and quad bike, current First Aid at Work Certificate including Forestry and Firearms, Deer Stalking Certificates Level 1 and 2 and am an approved witness for the Deer Stalking Qualification Scheme. I am also a nominated controller for SNH.

I have experience working as a stalking guide and worked as a stalking ghillie during the stag season last year.
