An experienced grouse beat keeper is required to join our expanding team on the Gairnshiel and Micras moors near Ballater.

The successful applicant will have at least three years’ experience as a beat keeper on a grouse moor, driving and firearms licences and a shotgun certificate. They will be responsible, reliable and willing to work hard both as part of a team and on their own. In return, an excellent package including accommodation and use of a 4x4 vehicle will be provided.

Grouse Beat Keeper required for an estate near Inverness.

The successful applicant must have a minimum of two - three years’ experience, excellent communication skills. A full clean driving license, shotgun and firearms licenses are all essential.

Relevant training certificates and experience with deer management would be beneficial, but not essential. This is a new position for an honest and hardworking keeper with a passion for producing grouse.

An experienced professional Deer Stalker is required on a premier Highland Estate. Duties include day to day management of deer stalking on the estate, which include red/sika/roe as required to operate and provide high quality sporting combined with continuing the estate policy of protecting and nurturing the environment and habitat.

The successful applicant will work with a sporting team of 9 people including side ranked stalkers and reporting directly to an Estate Manager. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful individual to take forward the vision and objectives of the client to manage a large highland estate with sporting and nature conservation working in tandem. .

Applicants will require to hold the following certification: DMQ level 1 and 2, Trained Hunters or equivalent, Firearms Certificate, Full Driving Licence, SNH Fit and Competent, EFAW + F, ATV, Manual Handling, should have at least 5 years full time Deer Stalking experience and be confident working to SQWVA standards.

 Invercauld Home Beat Woodland Stalker/Grouse Beat Keeper                                                                                                                     

We are wishing to fill a new position on the Home and Corndavon Beats of Invercauld Estate which are managed for the sustainable production of grouse and red and roe deer stalking.

The role is for an individual who will be involved in managing a woodland deer population for sport and protection of young woodland and also for looking after a beat of the grouse moor. The individual will be required to be flexible, working in all aspects of keepering, and willing to work as part of a team but also capable of working on their own.

Applicants for the position must be able to demonstrate expertise in stalking both red and roe deer in both woodland and hill environments. Experience in trapping and snaring is also essential along with a good understanding of grouse moor management.

Fasque Estate is undergoing a major investment and development program. We are looking for a very experienced Game keeper to join our team. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years experience on large sporting estate primarily dealing with driven partridge and pheasant. Experience of conservation projects and tree/landscape management will also be considered an asset.

A vacancy exists on the Glencalvie Estate, Sutherland for a Head Fishing Ghillie on the River Carron.  The position requires a keen, experienced, flexible and self motivated individual with good practical and organisational and friendly interpersonal skills.  General game keeping duties, estate maintenance work and some stalking may be undertaken outwith the fishing season.

Recently graduated Elmwood College Gamekeeping Student - Position Wanted

Recently graduated Elmwood College student where he was studying gamekeeping

From college he gained qualifications and valuable experience in the gamekeeping industry. He gained his Safe Shot qualification, Deer Biology and Quarry Species. He also gained experience in Deer Stalking, caring for and feeding pheasants and also running our own shoot on our estate. Also through this he has gained good communication skills and confidence.

I am seeking a position as a stalking ghillie for the forthcoming hind season.

I am physically fit and hold a full UK driving licence including trailer entitlement. I hold current Firearms and Shotgun certificates, current NPTC certificates for Argo and Quad Bike and current First Aid at Work certificate including Forestry and Firearms additions. I hold DSC 1 and 2, am an approved witness for the Deer Management Qualification Scheme and a nominated controller for SNH.

I have experience working as a stalking guide and worked as a stalking ghillie during the stag season last year.
