The estate would like to add to the current small team of contract stalkers to assist with the coming stag/ hind season and some wild boar hunting. The work would be on a self employed basis with periodic assignments to take out stalking clients.

Interested parties must have Deer Level 2 and have sufficient experience and physical fitness to successfully look after parties in steep high ground. We are flexible on dates and can accommodate contractors with limited availability.

We also have a requirement for the periodic hire of an experienced Argo driver to support hill parties. The work would suit a retired gamekeeper with a knowledge and interest in hill stalking and able to assist in larder work and other relevant support tasks.

A position has become available for a seasonal Ghillie on Glen Etive estate on the west coast of Scotland.
The position will run from mid-end April - 20th October but may be extended through to the 15th February.
The successful candidate must be able to work on their own as well as part of a team. You will be expected to act as second Ghillie on the river Etive for sporting tenants so experience with salmon fishing would be a good but not essential. Stag Stalking is carried out form early August until 20th October, you would be expected to assist the head stalker on the hill and with recovery by boat, quad, Argo and pony.
Other duties would include general estate maintenance, river bank improvements and grass cutting. Experience with working highland ponies is preferable and a full driving license is essential. Accommodation provided.

The opportunity has arisen for 2 trainees to join our Highland estate as of late May 2017. The 2 year positions will run in conjunction with the North Highlands college. Shared accommodation will be provided. The estate is predominantly red deer stalking along with grouse habitat management, river maintenance and general estate duties.

Applicant must have extensive knowledge of the rearing and releasing of Game birds.

Role to include overseeing of Shoot programme and day-to-day management of the shoot, which includes 20 Driven days and numerous Walked-up days. To assist the rearing of birds on the Estates game farm. Hands on approach and to report to the Estate Manager on a daily basis.
