The Scottish Gamekeepers Association would like to draw members’ attention to the theft of a hunting chair in Stirlingshire and is requesting that anyone with information contact the Police on the number given.
Constable Malcolm O’May, Rural and Wildlife Crime Officer, Central Scotland Police said: “Sometime between Saturday 17th and Saturday 24th November 2012 a 12ft high steel construction hunting chair was stolen from ground near to Killearn in Stirlingshire. The chair was from Bushware and was secured to a tree by way of a steel chain and padlock which was also taken. It seems the thief has went prepared and cut and removed the chain along with the chair.
Landowners, gamekeepers and farmers and those who participate in field/rural pursuits are asked to be vigilant and to pass any suspicious activity and vehicle details on to local police. This is a fairly unusual theft and the motive is not clear but inquiries are underway and any information relating to this incident can be given at tel: 01786 456000.”
