For much of the year, SGA supporters’ interest will be in birdies of a different sort.
However, if you want to take your mind off the pheasants and have fun on the fairways, come and take part in the 9th SGA Open (Stableford) Golf Championship on Saturday 9th June 2012.
Kingussie Golf Club is the venue for this year’s championship and the format will be the same as previous years.
A stableford and team competition will be played over the scenic Badenoch course, with tee-off times to be confirmed closer to the date.
All competitors are requested to sign in with the match secretary prior to their tee-off time and there will be tea/coffee and a bacon roll provided on arrival.
After the round, a barbecue (weather permitting) or meal will be provided.
To enter the competitions, contact gordonk74@blueyonder.com
Cost is £45 per person and proceeds go to the SGA. You do not have to be an SGA member to take part.
Last year was a great success and organisers are hopeful of another fantastic day out; urging participants to get their entries in soon.

A few golfers have booked accommodation at the Duke of Gordon Hotel (01540 661302- contact is Lorna Steele, Reservations Department).
The hotel is situated at the bottom of the road leading to the course. If you wish to stay there, tell them you are playing in the SGA (Open) Golf Championship.
There is also a range of B and B and hotel accommodation in Kingussie and the surrounding area.
